Quick Start

The quickest way to get started with SeerWatch is to use the Web Analyzer. This guide will walk you through loading, decoding, and plotting CAN data right in your browser.

Open the web analyzer to visualize CAN data on any OS

Click Try Demo Data to load the sample data.

Scroll through the CAN Message View table. You’ll see a row for each frame with a column for the timestamp, ID, channel, and data of each frame.

Click a row to expand it. You will see the CAN signals decoded from raw hex data into physical values as long you have a DBC loaded.

SeerWatch adds any decoded signal to the Available Signals section in the Charts view.

  • Click any signal to plot it on a time-series chart.

Use your mouse + scroll to interact. Charts can:

  • Overlay multiple signals — compare vehicle speed and engine RPM on the same chart
  • Zoom and pan — Left click + drag to pan. Right click + drag to box zoom
  • Render responsively — smoothly scroll even with large datasets thanks to intelligent downsampling

Each tab in SeerWatch is a dockable panel that you can move. Click and drag the tab name to move it, or dock it on another panel. The layout is flexible so you can arrange it as you like.

Resize the panels by hovering over the edges and dragging them.

If you want SeerWatch to save your layout, download the app. The web browser does not save the layout.
